Blog Tour, Review, and Giveaway: Every Soul by L.K. Collins

EVERY SOUL
Author: LK Collins
Genre: Erotic Romance

When you lose the one person who grounds your existence, your whole world changes.

In life, it is said that everything happens for a reason. If that’s true, how can you explain death? Especially when it happens to someone so young, so beautiful, and so innocent? My name is Bain Adams, and I struggle with these thoughts every day. I’ve been through hell and back, somehow surviving the unimaginable. My sister took her life six months ago, and now, what’s left is a shell of the man I once was, a shadow of the person I used to be. Do I miss that life? Absolutely. But I miss her more, every day. I pray time will ease the pain and help my suffering while I search for the answers…but so far, nothing.

Happiness is something I knew so long ago, and now it’s nothing but a faint, distant recollection of the life I once had. My name is Arion LaSalle, and seven months ago my life was shredded to pieces when my fiancé disappeared while deployed. He never came home, burning a hindrance of pain and agony within my soul. For so long, I lived my life believing everything happens for a reason, until now. ‘Cause none of it makes any sense. Why Nate? Why only him? Since getting through each breath is a struggle, I put on a fake persona, pretending I’m someone I’m not, living my life recklessly. Because for me, it was all taken far too soon.

“So are you really going to eye fuck me all night without introducing yourself?”
What the fuck? I swallow hard, her words catching me off guard. “Uhh, I’m Bain.”
Those are the only words that come out; my heart is pounding. She laughs at me and I turn to her and ask, “What’s so funny?”
“You. That’s all you’re going to say? Uhh, I’m Bain?”
            “Yeah.”
“Okay,” she responds is a quieter tone, understanding that I’m serious. “Well, Bain, I’m Arion. I just thought with the way you’ve been staring at me all night, you’d have more to say.”
Fuck, she’s quick with words. Unfortunately for me, I’m at a great disadvantage; the bars mixed with the alcohol have made my mind fuzzy. I can’t keep up with her, not like this. I need to be sober. “Was I that obvious?” I finally ask.
            “Yeah.”
She flicks her cigarette into the parking lot and stares at me. Pulling my eyes from the ground, I meet hers. She’s gorgeous, she’s really something else, I tell yah. Especially her eyes, gray and…laced with hurt, just like mine. She acts tough, but she’s hiding something. “Listen, Bain, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”
            “Nothing’s wrong,” I retort. “I’m…I’m just…drunk.”
“Me too,” she responds running her hands down my chest and pushing me harder into the wall. Our eyes never leave one another’s. My breathing increases and I focus on staying calm while feeling what she is doing to me with her hands. It doesn’t take but a few seconds ‘til she slides them under my shirt. I may not have words when it comes to her, but my lips don’t let me down. Staring into her eyes, she looks at me with uncertainty. I attempt to ease that, with a kiss.
Her lips are plump and tender. She tastes of mint with a hint of ger. The moment she touches her tongue with mine, my senses flip and that need that’s been knocking to escape all night erupts.
A couple exits the bar and we separate for a brief moment. Then I pull her down the side of the building. The moment we are tucked nicely into the dark alley, we pick right back up. This is seedy as fuck.
It’s a crisp night, but being with her in the cold doesn’t bother me. Her hands are warm as they explore every part of my body. But being a man, I want more. “Keep touching me,” I command, wanting to feel her warm hands on my cock. Holding her face, I continue to kiss her, loving the release I get while indulging in her.
            “Mmmmm, you do speak.”
Growling, I flip her around, now pressing her against the wall. “I do. Fuck, Arion…” I trail off, unsure of what to say next.
She makes quick work of the button and zipper of my pants and wastes no time going in, clenching me hard, just like I wanted. “Mmmmmhhhhh,” I groan as she begins to stroke me.
“Your cock is big and I want it deep in my throat.” She drops to her knees and I lean my hands against the wall, questioning what we are doing for half a second. There is no one around us and no one in sight – fuck it. Her tongue hits me swirling over the end; I brush her hair out of her face and watch as she engulfs me. From tip to base, she takes me all the way. When I don’t think she can go any further, she does, and her nose touches my skin. It takes real skill to take all of me. She stares up working my cock in and out of those sweet, plump lips. We watch one another, and I wonder who in the world she is. So confident, sexy, and…dominant. Christ, it’s such a fucking turn-on.
Each pull and push she matches with her hand, twirling her tongue as she goes. I especially like watching her mouth stretch. Stopping for a moment, she removes her lips but jerks my shaft, quickly. “Will you come in my mouth, Bain?”
“Suck me hard and I will.”
I nod my head when she obeys and feel my balls tighten. Fuck, it’s been too long. Looking at her as she takes my release, her eyes are closed and she’s in a zone, enjoying this. As she pushes me to orgasm, her mouth is so warm. Her movements are perfect and I come so hard in the back of her throat, pumping my hips and thrusting out every last drop of cum. To my surprise, she swallows, smirking at me the moment she finally takes my cock out of her mouth. Standing, she licks her lips. I’m panting, trying to catch my breath as she says, “It was a pleasure to meet you, Bain,” and walks away.

This is an inspirational story of hope, healing and moving forward. Initially the remedy was sex but after they let their guard down, it became more about encouragement and trust as these two people helped find themselves again. Bain and Arion's story is full of heat, heartbreak and intrigue.

Bain's hopes of playing for the NBA are derailed when a tragedy hits him hard. He's a bit lost and sinking fast, I like Bain, his got a filthy mouth, a dominant personality and a big heart. He stumbles upon a girl that gives him the skills to cope and a reason to make a change. She also keeps him sexually satisfied…..

"Nothing needs to change with us, except you trusting me a little more. You don't need to run from me, you can run to me. Let your walls down, Arion. I promise I won't break them."
-Bain

Arion is going through the motions and trying to keep her heart protected.  She's been crushed and not sure she can get through it. She fills her spare time fooling around having meaningless sex. It's what she likes. Then she meets him. He's made her feel things she hasn't felt in a long time. Can she stay detached?  Can she keep her walls up?

Bain's family is struggling to cope with a tragedy.  They are suffering and in turmoil.  I felt their pain and it hurt my heart. It also amplified and kept a bit of intrigue going in this story. Watching them discover the details regarding their loved one was hard and twisted.
Every Soul  is the first  LK Collins book I have read. It flowed and had strong lead characters.  At times Bain was portrayed a bit aggressive with his sexual tone. He came across even vulgar.  But in the end, l it worked at making him seem more alpha-ish. This book evoked sympathy from me for the Adams and Arion.   The element of loss and despair bonded these two and watching the evolution hope, friendship and trust was bittersweet.

The end of this book will have you very EAGER for the sequel Every Heart. I will most definitely be reading it. It's a Oh-My- Gosh ending!  I think book two will be harder on my heart and soul than this one. I give Every Soul 4 Stars.... I liked the original plot, the flawed characters and the END! Counting down the days til I get book 2.

I leave you with this quote that resonated with me…..
“Learn from yesterday, Live for today, hope for tomorrow.”
This is a beautiful message!

In the story of Every Soul you meet Bain Adams and Arion LaSalle.

Two people who have suffered tragic losses in their lives just a few short months ago. Bain's sister committed suicide and it has crushed him. He has great potential to become a NBA player, his hopes and dreams, but has lost all motivation to play the game. He doesn't feel whole without his twin sister by his side anymore. All he got was a suicide note in the form of a text. Her body wasn't found for a few months. They way that she chose to take her life doesn't make sense. Bits and pieces of her suicide are coming to life and maybe things aren't exactly as they seemed.
Arion lost her fiancé, Nick to Afghanistan. He wanted to join the Marines, but she felt in her heart that it was a bad idea. He goes missing with no reasons why. Now she is alone to face to the world. How will she ever make it without him? He was supposed to be her happily ever after.
Throughout the book, we get snippets of Kinsey's days before she did the
unthinkable and took her own life. What causes Kinsey to commit suicide? Could there something else going on? The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together as the FBI attempts to get to the bottom of it. Bain isn't to sure about the detective that's been working the case but now that the FBI has stepped in he is hoping they will give their family the answers they're looking for.
One evening Bain and Arion are at the same watering hole hanging out with
friends. They notice each other from across the bar. They both step outside,
Bain to get away and Arion to have a cigarette and one thing leads to another. They talk a little and she comes onto him strong and with him being a guy he doesn't deny her. They meet again a few weeks later at Starbucks where she manages. They soon become friends with benefits because neither wants strings attached nor are they ready. Will it ever change between the two?

"So are you really going to eye fuck me all night without introducing yourself?" - Arion

"I lost my fiancé about seven months ago. He's a marine," She corrects herself. "He was a marine, and after the news that he died, I just didn't know how to cope. I fell into a deep depression, and one night when I was drunk, had a random hookup  with one of my roommate's friends. I realized then that sex could be a release, almost a way to let go and forget about the pain for a little bit." - Arion

"I know losing Kinsey isn't the same as losing the love of your life. However, her loss impacted me to the point where I spiraled and lost touch with the person I was. I'm addicted to pills, my mom is in rehab and my family is basically torn. We're not the same people we used to be." - Bain

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow." -Albert Einstein
LK Collins is first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She loves music and has openly admitted that she's addicted to it. Without the strength of the words from some of her favorite artists, what she does...would not be possible. She works the normal 9 to 5 like the rest of the world, but is fortunate that she's allowed to listen to music for eight hours a day. When she gets home, she turns into Superwoman; juggling the crazy world of being an indie author, a mom, and a wife. Both her daughter and her husband share names with famous presidents. Her husband is referred to by her readers as "the Prez", a name well deserved.

LK has had a passion for the worlds created by authors for as long as she can remember and with the support of the Prez, she has successfully self-published three titles in the Life. Destiny. Fate Series. While her books are erotica, they are also known for dramatic storylines that will keep the reader enthralled from page one.
